You are not a victim

Jabez was a victim of his mother's ignorance.  His mother named him after her distressing experience at child birth. The name Jabez in Hebrew means pain, distress or a source of sorrow. His mother extended her sorrowful experience  into the life of her son. However, jabez refuse the limitation placed on him by his mother's ignorant action. In other words,  he did not want to live the rest of his life as a victim, but as a victory

A good number of people today are like the mother of Jabez who are unaware that names are not just a combination of letters that produce sounds; neither are they mere words that remind people of an experience. A person's name serves as a vehicle of influence. Jabez understood the influence of the power of God over a person's name. That's why Jabez experienced a new lease in his life. He moved from the level of containment to enlargement.

Regardless the circumstances it is important you believe that God will hear you. You carry the seed of  God and by nature, you are an overcomer in this world.

To bring your hearts to the consciousness of who you are, you need to keep declaring over yourself : I am not a victim, I am not who the world wants me to think I am, I am beloved of Lord. Irrespective of my qualification, I am accepted by God because of the finished work of christ
